Unlike many others we take production measurements during your home design consultation. No salespeople – just good, honest, advice.
Our consultants will bring product samples, large demonstration panels, colour swatches as well a tablet showing a large variety of our shutter installations to help you visualise your proposed shutter installation.
Our shutters are manufactured to our exacting specifications and that means to the millimetre. We can provide CAD drawings it required and this is especially useful for shaped shutters and French door shutters.
All our fitters are trained and employed by the company. We don’t use sub-contractors.
The office will arrange a date and time for your home consultation. We take a production measure during the consultation – so only one visit is needed.
We will email a quote with each shutter itemised. We won’t sell to you in your home.
Let us know which shutters you would like to go ahead with and we will create an invoice. On receiving a 50% deposit we will place the shutters into production
Once we have sight of the delivery we will book in our fully employed fitters (they may even have been the original consultant that visited) for your install.
You will receive a post fit call from the office just to ensure you were pleased with the process from start to finish.
When your home is street facing as most Victorian terraced homes tend to be you will have issues with privacy from passers by. In general, Victorian terraces tend to face each other which means neighbours also have a good view into your home due to the openess that bay window shutters give. By adding split control to the shutters we were able to give our client amazing control over privacy and light. A 76mm louvre gave a great sense of proprtion to the shutters and fitted in with their mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings.
Full height shutters are a great solution for large floor to ceiling windows. Large windows often result in rooms getting extremely hot and even more so when you have windows on multiple aspects of a room. By ensuring that the shutters covered the whole length of the window and by adding a mid-rail to enable the upper and lower louvers to be closed independently we gave the customer high levels of control over both privacy and light. You will notice from the images that we fixed these amazing poplar shutters in line with the window recess. This enable you to be able to fold the shutters flat against the wall should you want to open up the window totally. A large 76mm or 89mm louvre gives a great view, and so there is very little need not to just adjust the louvers rather than fold the shutters back.
Our 100% waterproof shutter range are ideal in bathrooms with heavy condensation or where the window shutter may be in direct contact with water. Frosted glass often makes bathrooms dark and still does not alleviate the issue of privacy when the window is open. By using clear glass and adding shutters our client, an architect, had far more light in their bathroom and was also able to have their windows open to air and control temperature levels as well as having privacy. Made from ABS and with waterproof hardware our shutters are ideal for bathrooms, utility rooms and pool areas.

So, you have built your lovely new extension in Basingstoke and the British summer has finally arrived and now you are boiling hot. What’s the solution? Well tracked shutters are an alternative – you can bifold them out of the way when needed and on those hot days pull the shutters into place (leave your bifolds open for a nice breeze) and the let the cool air and shade filter through your shutters. Fitted to the top of the recess by a track this allows the shutters to be bi-folded to one side or if you wish you can have the shutters so they split left and right. However, if your bathroom is well ventilated and maybe used for bathing rather than showering then a wooden shutter can also meet your requirements and offer you broader width of choice in terms of colours and stains.
